Austin Healey 100/4 BN1

“Best of the best”, that is surely the term that best describes this Healey. We are proud to offer you this car on behalf of the owner. Completely restored by us and upgraded down to the last detail.

When we bought a Jaguar E-Type from Australia a few years ago, this Healey was part of the deal. After arrival, the car was noticed by a good friend of ours, who decided to purchase it and have it completely restored by us. He wanted to make something very special out of it. After dismantling, paint stripping and sandblasting of the body, The body and chassis were completely worked with a lot of attention being paid to to the panel gaps. At this stage, the pedal box has also been extended, the upper wishbones have been made adjustable, and the LeMans filler cap has been installed. The space for the spare wheel has also been enlarged to accommodate the wider Dunlop spare wheel. The wing edges were also adjusted to fit these wider wheels and the battery also found a different place. Subsequently, after welding, the body was sandblasted again, sprayed in epoxy primer and after sanding it was sprayed in very nice dark green with clear coat.

In the meantime, engine specialist Van Giersbergen in Silvolde built a top engine. Based on a 100 M, including aluminum Welch cylinderhead, larger carburetors with coldair box and all possible upgrades. They also made the newly purchased five-speed gearbox behind the engine. The rear axle and steering wheel are from a BN2 and are completely new. Brakes and shock absorbers were also modified. The car was then completely rebuilt by us with all new parts.

Finally, the complete interior was custom build by Peter van Egmond, one of the top Dutch upholsterers, was chosen for this job. The color “Old Saddle” brown contrasts very nicely with the dark green and Sonnenland was chosen for all “weather gear”.

This is just a brief description of what has been done to this car. An extensive file with invoices and photos is available on request for serious interested parties. We would prefer to show the car and the restoration to you ourselves during a visit to our company and present this unique Healey to you.
