In 1957, the Alfa Romeo 2000 debuted as a berlinetta at the Turin Motor Show, followed a year later by the Spider. For the occasion, not designed by Pinin farina, but from the Milanese coachbuilder Touring. It was a style icon from the start that would remain in production until 1962, and is still a special appearance to this day! A total of 3443 copies were built.

The car that we can offer you on behalf of the owner was purchased by him in the early 1990s from the classic car dealer Stolze in de Lier. At the time, the car was painted in a white color and was in need of a restoration. It was imported from America. The original factory hardtop was also included, which is a beautiful and rare accessory on this model. An extensive restoration was started, which was largely supervised by the owner. A nice photo album was kept of this work in which it is clear to see that the work was carried out neatly and completely. The car was recently fitted with a set of Weber carburetors and adjusted by Dutch Alfa specialist Steutel. A beautiful fresh silver gray ( argenta auteuil ) was chosen for the color, with a contrasting burgundy red interior mounted. The black mohair soft top completes the picture.

The restoration eventually took almost 10 years, after which the enjoyment could begin. This year it was decided that it was time to hand over the car to a new owner, a job we are happy to do.
