McLaren MP4 12C spider MSO
In 2011, Britain’s McLaren Automotive entered the market with the MP4 12C. It was the first fully McLaren-designed and built car since the 1992 F1. As the builder’s name suggests, the car is quite full of technology from Formula 1. The chassis, for example, is made entirely of carbon fiber and weighs no more than 80 kiloβs. The total weight is only a sloppy 1400 kilos which are propelled by the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 625 hp and 600 Nm of torque then ensure that 100 km/h is reached in just 3 seconds and a top speed of nearly 330 km/h. In the process, the handling is phenomenal as you would expect from this marque. In the few years that McLaren has had the MP4 12C in production, only about 3500 have been made which makes it a very exclusive car and definitely a future classic.
We have known this MP4 for a while now. We purchased it directly from its first owner, Belgian tennis player Yanina Wickmayer who bought it new in Monaco. The car was given a Dutch registration with us at the time and now we may offer it again. What immediately stands out is the special appearance and color scheme. The MSO department of McLaren has equipped the spider with a large number of options that make it stand out from other cars. Other bumpers, wheels, sports exhaust, ceramic brakes and the necessary carbon were chosen and also less visible options such as a nose-lift system on the front axle, and an extensive audio package. Of course, the car is also equipped with all the other options you would expect from a supercar of this caliber.
In total, the car has only been driven 35.800 km and has been perfectly maintained by official dealers from the start. Already the first time we sold the car it was taken care of by louwman and all known issues were tackled, also a very extensive maintenance was performed. Even after that the owner always brought it to Louwman for maintenance. Bills of all these services are present. The car is completely damage free and is ready for its new owner in our showroom.
