Porsche 911 Turbo 997
This Porsche 997.1 turbo is the sixth generation of the turbo 911s. The first original version (the so-called 930) was launched in 1975, and it is incredible to see how these cars have developed over the years. With each generation, Porsche’s engineers managed to make improvements, resulting in the arrival of the 997.1 in June 2006. What a powerhouse the engineers in Zuffenhausen have developed! The six-cylinder boxer engine is equipped with two exhaust gas turbos with variable turbine geometry, developed by BorgWarner. This 3.6-liter engine delivers no less than 480 hp and sends it to all four wheels via the Tiptronic S automatic six-speed transmission. This four-wheel drive provides phenomenal road holding and very sporty driving characteristics, but also ensures that, despite its enormous power, the car can be used every day in all weather conditions. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds and the car only stops accelerating at 310 km/h. Ceramic brakes all round ensure that the car can be brought to a halt in a very short time.
This turbo was delivered to its first owner in Bonn, Germany, in August 2006, making it an early model. In 2014, the car found its way to Sweden, where it would spend most of its life. The current Dutch owner, on whose behalf we are offering it for sale, purchased the car in 2024. The color scheme is perfect for a Porsche of this caliber; in black with black leather, the car looks powerful and sporty. The mileage of 60,425 is nice and low and is supported by the complete set of maintenance booklets and a file with invoices and inspection reports. The overall condition is exceptionally beautiful and original, with only slight signs of wear, and this turbo is ready for its next caretaker. It is also interesting to note that this is a VAT car and can therefore also be used for business purposes.
